Farah Rahman teacher & writer
I am SEN (special educational needs) teacher of English and History, and am neurodivergent myself. I originally trained as a Montessori teacher and still use the ethos in my work.
I’ve had a fascination with space since I was a child, hence the title ‘neurospacy’. I ‘space out’ a lot, and this is a part of my neurodivergence that I rather enjoy. My neurospacyness is my home and safe-space.
I mainly write fiction and was shortlisted and ‘Highly Commended’ for the Faber 2025 FAB Prize. I won second place in the 2024 Future Worlds Prize for emerging writers of speculative fiction.
My work have been published by New Humanist, Huffington Post (UK), Litro, and Brittle Star. I studied English at the University of Sussex (BA) and Goldsmiths College (MRes).
